  • Where do I get the THS Intercooler and SEAT brackets?

    Hi Gurus and VW experts,

Where do I get the THS Intercooler and SEAT brackets? Bracket 6LL1458808C & 6LL1458808B & Bolts N90280904

I could frabricate the brackets but why when there are OEM ones??

It seems that the THS Intercooler and SEAT brackets are a worthy product and perform well, so I am keen to purchase and need assistance with who (websites and links please) and where, insider name and phone contacts for suppliers ?

The rest of the parts etc should be available from EBay and VWW sponsers (waiting on a response) and local business etc

I went into Powell Hoses at Acacia Ridge and they can do the Mikalor hose clamps for sub $8 each. Maybe EBay will be better and for the silicon hoses, suggestions anyone?

    Thanks guys, cheers Al

I bought my pipes and clamps (everything needed I believe) from APMotorstore in the UK as Gav provided me his receipt and part numbers so just followed that. It was AUD$169inclusive of delivery. I ordered on 31/12 and yet to turn up, but they had said 2+ weeks so not in a position to whinge. The SeatSport core ws AUD$460.

Happy to forward you my receipt if you like.

It's a SeatSport core, which excusing my ignorance is marginally different to the THS core... I bought it from Darkside developments with the brackets. Might be worth an email to Darkside if they'll sell the brackets seperate, it's a tickbox when ordering and a 15 pound extra as to getting the brackets.

I am going to order 10 pipes tonight and have MAP sensor mounts welded in them locally.

I personally don't think that is any benefit to buying Mikalor clamps myself. I have ordinary ones on my S3 and Polo and have had no issues in tens of thousands of ks.

From the list that Sean has, you will need only one 90 degree alloy pipe.

                Hi folks,

Yes I went to the THS website and advise they are out of stock of the THS Intercooler at RRP 280 Pounds, to suit the Polo. Seat Ibiza Intercooler TDI/1.8T MK4

                The Details:

THS Seat Ibiza replacement uprated intercooler.

These intercoolers are produced so they fit the same as the Seat Sport intercooler but the cores have been enlarged to take advantage of the entire end tank size. The cores are built using the same core designs as our TFSI intercooler offering enhanced performance, lower pressure drops and increased cooling.

You can buy the pipework direct from Seat to install these intercoolers onto the PD130 and 1.8T 150bhp model ibiza's

Yes I have read and digested 'Polo THS intercooler install part number thread' and 'THS Seat sport intercooler install pics'.

Thanks very much, it seems I missed 'Polo THS intercooler install part number thread'.

So currently where to buy one and what will the THS Intercooler cost plus postage and handling to Brisbane?

                Cheers Al

THS didn't have any when I was looking before Christmas either. The SEAT Sport one seems to be working well on my Polo. Driving home this arvo, IATs were 5 degrees over ambient in traffic on the Gateway.

Yes Gav, maybe THS is getting some or dont care? Good temps of your car in summer, my scangauge is showing AI at 50 plus and low as 35 ish.

Good reason to go THS FMIC. I know FMIC is good thing as my sold WRX showed temps as little as 1 degree above ambient..

FMIC works as a good heatsoak. Anyone do a waterspray kit instal as well?
                    Cheers Al

A bit of thread stealing... I have ordered enough aluminium and silicon pipework for 3 kits. as well as 10 pipes to weld in the MAP sensor mounts. Paid for express shipping. I'll post a final price in my business page after the the stuff has arrived and they are all ready to go.
