    Sounds like limp.

Need to scan what the issue is.

VCDS calls the DV if you have a boost leak. As it has to assume all the hoses are tight, it's the most plausible answer. You probably have a clamp that'll take a couple of turns on it.

        Replaced the n75 yday.

Turbo spooling issue resolved. Also fixed traits of the engine that I thought were a result of the giac tune.

Ie turbo spooled better at 70 % gas then WOT . Also turbo is there after stopping the car and restarting it.

Also occasionally the wastegate would open at around 3-4k for no reason. Turbo now spools more linear harder for longer.

Thanks for your help boys. Much appreciated.

Interesting, I too have those traits. My wastegate opening at 2.5 upwards at just the slightest release of throttle is vicious.

I also find the boost feels stronger at 70% throttle over WOT as well. Surprise surprise, GIAC tune over here as well.

Just to clarify; these problems are now resolved (as well as the turbo not spooling one, obviously)?

Would be keen to see how mine behaves with a new N75 also now.

yeah buddy to be honest the car was starting to feel a little sad and sorry, i was concerned it was due to the km on the car (had it chipped @ 20,000km now has 71,000km on the clock)

The car drives better then it ever has, there's absolutely no wastegate opening mid rpm, and the car absolutely comes on song @ WOT.

i tried testing it last night but with the rain here in sydney, traction in 2nd gear was absolutely nonexistant...

I'll echo those sentiments exactly. My car has felt more alive with the new TIP as it too was beginning to feel a little 'tired' (GIAC'd at 80,000, now at 125,xxx). Anyone have recommendations as to where is best to acquire a new N75?

I got mine from my local VW spare parts guys coz i wanted it ASAP. Cost me $125ish from recollection.

Can probably get it cheaper from ECS tuning or whoever, if theres no hurry. Note: the new N75 looks marginally diff to the one that was in there (has a weird lip on it - have pics but no idea how to upload them via my mobile).

The guy in parts said it was a diff model code to what was original and that it was likely a revised model as a result of a known flaw.

So im not particularly sure whether mines a H or J or whatever it was, but dealer said it was right for the car

That's interesting mate. Insanekiwi has the new version also. I wonder what the benefits are?? Longevity overall or better performance.

Ok old thread but just had this happen to me today going into limp mode twice hitting 6psi after giving a few good hits but goes back to normal after switching it off and on again
I'm running a turbo smart DV and today I changed it from plumb back too plumb and vent being bored wanting some noise lol
Would having it plumbed and vented throw it out and put it into limp mode or is the n75 just on it's way out playing up?

Btw not chipped just fmic seat intake and DV if that makes any difference

Yup, its the venting that's caused your grief. Close it up. I can't recall the specifics as to why, but euro's don't seem to respond well when venting to atmosphere.

The ecu is expecting a certain amount of airflow at the maf, chucks a sad when you vent.

Not really unless you went a maf less tune. If you want noise stick a cai on it, or a high flow panel filter (not as loud).
