I just paid 4k for mine with a bad engine, wouldn't be worth more than 10 if it was 100%, 2006 model with leather.

Most definitely fair to Say, mine being the later of the builds still holds a bit more value being a bit newer I'm guessing, and from redbook there is a massive difference in market value with the different years, every year newer holds about 2k more value

Without a doubt, being newer helps, you still have to get someone to put their hand in their pocket though.

Sad to see you go, but there are other cars out there (I guess)...

17's pretty good, leaves you with some cash to play with

I'm hoping my low kms will help me when it comes time, but you can buy a lot of car for 10-15 nowdays...

I would have though so too, but year seems to have no value, I have been trying to sell my 2008 polo gti, asking $14k for it with 80k km, keep getting offers round the 12k mark, which is where all the 06 models seem to be with similar km's (some with more). you also have to keep in mind that 06 golf gti' have dropped heaps and I have seen several with 100k km for around the $16k mark.....

looks like i'll be keeping mine for a few years running up another 50k km and be prepared to take a hit when it sells for $7k....

will be interesting to see what this goes for

I'm going to echo everyone's sentiments. Sell it ASAP if someone is offering $17k. Bought mine six months ago for $15.5k 2009, sunroof, 38k's
