It was raining that day of delivery in March 2010, and I waited outside for some 4 hours in the rain. The very moment I decided to take a toilet break, I hear the noise of a truck pull up (pschh!) at the front of my driveway. There he was, in all his glory, my first ever Volkswagen - a Polo GTI. I nicknamed him Kirby, but I don't think it ever stuck - ha.
It's been 2 years since being acquainted. Now that I embark on a career overseas in Singapore, I can either keep him undercovers until I return, or do the right thing and let an enthusiast, appreciative owner or fellow forumer take reigns and care of him.
I'd like to begin my thanks by starting with Ben (noone) for giving me the opportunity to meet with him upon my initial search for a new car. If it weren't for him, I'd dare say I'd be in a different car right now. And then to all of you who I've either met or helped me in the past - thank you.
As they say, as one door closes, another opens. And whilst this may be true to my situation, the same also resonates with my little Polo!
