Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

That's really handy info - wish I'd known before buying the SEAT ones too. But saying that I can't justify buying the superpro ones if I've already got new SEAT ones that I haven't fitted yet. I'm one of the few Polo owners who's aesthetics>performance and handling haha - hence why I've left it nearly 2 years before fitting ARBs and uprated bushes. It took me until september to change the suspension and that was only for lows haha

So back to wishbone bushes which haven't been changed and I'm nearly at 130k - which ones should I go for? There's so many to choose from!

Thanks for the more technical explanation mate! Makes more sense when you put it that way.

Here's a nice article by Whiteline about their ALK on a WRX (same effect)

They really should be called "Pro-Dive" or "Pro-Lift" kits but then people who believe stiffer must be better wouldn't want them

And get the matching front ones too?

Are there any other bushes/mounts I should be looking at for 130Ks?

Aren't those PFF-602's an alternative to the SEAT rear LCA bushes?

That's what I need to know - I have SEAT LCA Bushes - do I need any others? Wishbone bushes - are they different to LCA bushes or is that another UK/Austrlian term clash?

Yes you're right they are. And by the looks no anti-lift properties either. I think these are the front wishbone bushes

Yes, the Lower Control Arm can also be called the wishbone

I'd say you don't need any other front bushes unless the front LCA ones are knackered, too. PFF85-201

This is way more confusing than it should be! haha - if you guys can confirm that the SPF3311K is what I need as well as the SEAT LCA bushes I already have - then I'm sorted

Poly bushes sound good. I'll be interested to see how they hold up.. the reason I didn't go with these originally is I'm pretty sure Eddy obliterated a set in no time. I think they were taking a beating at the track though so it will be interesting to see how they go with just regular street driving and the occasional track outing

Ha! Good luck with that. My solid poly bushings made the car far harsher than what the new Bilsteins did.
