That paint job looks horrible compared to the Sema GTI. I never said it looks bad, just nowhere near as good.
Not really unique when it looks so similar to something that's famous.
i agree totally that it is nowhere near as good. but think about the budget that APR had for that car (its for a world renowned AUTOMOTIVE EXTRAVAGANZA ). this may be this guys daily driver and i give him thumbs up for the effort and outcome. the whole point im getting at is that it shouldn't be compared to a purpose built show car. for all we know, this polo could have been done first. also, the paint design is quite different, its just the same colours using thick stripes.
i guarantee if the SEMA GTI had never been done your thoughts would be the opposite.

I agree with you completely, you have to give props to this guy, for all you know he could have been the first one.
Lets start first thing, two completely different cars, with two completely different engines!
One has a budget that is pretty endless the other could have been done on a budget or a small fortune, you don't know what this guy has done to his car or how good the paint job is either that pic is a little blurry as well.
And you say its not unique well do you see any other Polo with that paint job rocking those rims....... Nope
I dont think the body mods would have cost too much and seems like he did most of it him self but i agree more power in that thing would make it much better.
I think my colour choice has been made up after seeing how nice the silver looks with all the colour coding and smoothing.I will be doing similar mods to mine once i get it,after the chip and a few other performance mods of course

I can guarantee that you wouldn't regret it - looks so much more "finished".
Apparently the little dimples are really enjoyable to sand down and get smooth, but who cares - I wasn't the one doing it .
