Can you mount the rear strut tower brace all the way forward almost agaainst the rear seats. I have my sub in the back and looking at the way clicht mounted his tthere is no way my sub would fit in. If I can mount it against the rear seats it shouldn't be an issue.
Definate order for front top strut brace. tentative order for rear top strut brace depending on answer to this question.
    Cheers.

Put me down for the front lower bar and the rear sway bar

What do you guys recon, extra $ for the sway bar or go with the rear lower bar instead?

Two different outcomes for those I think bud. I would go the rear sway before the brace personally. The rear brace is going to let you corner flatter with next to no roll which adds to the fun factor on both the street and track. But the brace (I believe) will tighten up the rear end for a more chuckable feel and add to overall stability (probably more noticeable at the limit on the track). Jason would be the best person to comment on the rear brace.

            Just what I thought

Sounds good mate, how would you rate the difficulty of installation?

Was going to get the APR engine mount and possibly get volkspower to do this at the same time, but considering they charge $300 just to bolt in a front sway bar, doesn't look to difficult to do the rear and center

Don't think it'll be a prob with this many of us surely there will be a DIY at some point

Front sway is a decent job, rear is DIY...

So what ballpark are we talking for freight? I'm looking at 2 sections totalling pretty cose to $300, add an extra 30ish? or 80?
dont want to be spending close to $400...

I think there is a DIY in FAQ section for the rear. From all accounts it's not hard.

Hey Ben, can you be the distributor for the three Sydney lads?

If we have a distributor for each state then we just divide the $119 total shipping cost amongst all of us. There are 14 interested so far, so if they all buy it's only $8.50 each for postage

With that in mind I need a distributor for Melbourne also??

Sure, shipping them out might be a pain, but I'm in Artarmon, so if the other local peeps can collect from there, should be quick and nasty.

If you want to keep your boot space, the forge brace is a good option as demonstrated below:

Def up for front lower brace, rear lower brace and front sway.
                      Lock those in.

I'd love to know if the center brace gives you more exhaust clearance than the stock piece? If it does id be up for one of those too.

                        ok, so i'm becoming indecisive...
I want better ridgidity, but unsure what route to take.

Already have the forge front upper brace and both whiteline sways.

was going to go with the front underside brace and the rear upper brace but I'm concerned about loosing my bootspace which i use daily ATM.

so, does anyone have an idea of how well the rear lower brace might work?

I guess most of us are going in fairly blind and basing the outcome on other cars, etc.

I cant imagine the mid brace doing much, love to hear why its a good idea.

There does not seem to be any info on the manufacturers website about installation, etc, has anyone seen anything on this, being used in polo, cupra, etc elsewhere?

Any opinions would be better than my experience in this area.

Confirmed, thanks Sam. From the pictures of the stock v's UR middle brace I would say they're fairly similar.

Confirming front top strut brace only. Had a good look today and it looks as though rear top strut brace won't clear my sub in the back.

Hi anthony, are these braces (the lower ones) confirmed as direct bolt on, DIY fitting? So no drill holes required.

Noone - with regards to the rear lower brace, I'm still dubious as I don't know exactly where it's bolting in to. I'd guess that upper brace will provide greater rigidity, or perhaps better worded, greater impression of rigidity than the lower brace. My reasoning for this is that the strut tops are further from the flex point (being the floor/chassis) than the strut bottoms, therefore greater flex is likely at the tops than the bottom.

I'd like to go the upper brace as somepoint, but it needs to be easy to install/remove which UR doesn't appear to be.

Hey Sean, yes they are supposed to be direct bolt on. Luis has a list of dodgy ebay sellers in his email signature which have fitment and quality issues, but the original stuff is meant fit correctly.

As for the bottom rear brace, from the photo it bolts directly to the chassis in two places each side where the suspension beam axle also bolts to the chassis. I have very high hopes for this one.
