      Hoyhoy.

      Ta Ant.
Latest mods didn't work out too well, so back to the drawing board, which is already happening.
With this PB I had to go pretty hard, I think the older I get the harder I go.
What helped was the practise I had, this was the last of three days I done, doing 380KM's around Waky last week plus driving down there & back, all without using a spanner on her.
      She must love me.

        Great shot, great results.

What do you think was the problem with the recent changes?

          Hoyhoy.

Not so much a problem with the changes, its just that I was hoping for better.
Still have high intake temps which is robbing HP.
Already been to PWR & had a chat with Guy Harding, (who put me straight on some ideas I had) not sure as to whats next.

Haven't seen anybody post a standing Km time as yet, so will have to claim first (and therefore fastest...) time for that one:

            0-1000m 26.3 sec @ 196.6kph.

Recorded at Snowy Mountains 1000, November 2013. Results at 2013 – Racing Times | Snowy Mountains 1000.

              Hoyhoy.

Never even thought of this one, but 196.6kph sounds quite quick in that time & distance, well done.

                Hoyhoy.

Just had a look at the time results & see ya one spot in front of an RS4, that must feel good.

Indeed - the Polo never ceases to impress me with its performance, especially when it humbles big hitters like that RS4 and the Jag XJR behind that. I was hoping it would break 200kph this year but it just wasn't to be.

Howdy, got an update for lap times at Lakeside, QLD. Did a best of 66.02 last weekend at timeattack. There's still a little more in it, but they were some very committed laps. Couldn't crack the 65's but still much better than I'd expected. I was hoping for something in 67's, so was very surprised my first session was straight into the 66's. Best 5 laps were 66.02, 66.09, 66.18, 66.21, 66.4. FML. This was done running some near shagged semi-slicks, not a street tyre. For those that do happy laps, typically we're lapping around below 75sec laps.

With a new project to commence shortly, these times will be a dropping

I'm also planning to get to wakefield in a few months so that'll be a great benchmark for me against the southerners.

Congrats Greg, keep it up bud, or I should say keep the times down, hey...

                        • Thanks Eddy. I thought I'd topped out as it's been a while since I've improved at any of the tracks.

And here's some footage from an early wet session where there was a lot of traffic and I was running my 'cruise tyres/rims (my memory card filled up before the session where it dried out and I set my best time )

                          • Surprisingly, I did a PB at Sandown today (I thought I'd gone faster in the past but it turns out I hadn't :p) - 1:38.87

Of course this is slower than vwthunder's 1:38.75 today on the only flying lap that he got in for the whole day (his IC pipe kept blowing off from the sustained boost).

                            • Yep I had a bad day, went out 3 times and only managed to get 2 laps in i think.
Kept blowing a intercooler hose off, even put new clamps on, well 2 clamps on one bend and it still blew.
They tried to tow me in and ended up pulling the front of my car off and had to bring the flatbed out

Anyway it happened, looking forward to getting some track time in at Sandown soon, was fun to hang out with Greg also

Sean was having the same issue with his intercooler pipe wasn't he?
From memory he got Jmac up here to fix it for him.
