Yeah good, because there was no grip, the clutch was fine. did heaps of runs, at one stage you could finish the run, come back and go again straight away.

Now it all depends how much i want to beat your time.
Someone said to get semi's, pull the huge brakes off and run 15 inch wheels. Maybe try and find the smallest brakes i can lol

mate i have proven you dont need semis or 15s to run my time just practice

Hmm i did 14 runs and could get it off the line if i launched at anything over 2000rpm, most launches were about 1800rpm

Not that i am making excuses but the track at heathcoate was very poor condition, maybe I will try and calder and see if it is stickier

                      104, 105 and 106 mph on my 2X 14.3 runs and 1X 14.4 run

                      I did a 14.6 with 106.23mph

The way i see it, if your getting the much wheel spin, then grip is the problem!
no traction takes HEEAAAPs off a time!

Correct, you could hear the Golf R next to me launching it off the line at crazy revs, as i took off really slowly at 1800rpm with one wheel spinning

You cant compare the two cars, my car is a total different beast. I was chatting to Gavin last night as we went for a spin, and even he was saying the K04 is totally different, not as much torque low down, but when it hits, it hits hard

The best that my Polo has done at Wakefield Park is 1"09.9, though that was in the hands of a mate who is a far better driver than I. 1"11.2 is my PB so far.

Should get some interesting data next month at the Cooma 1000 - 0-100kph, 400m and 1000m standing starts.

The guys at CVWC had the car on the dyno last year sometime just to stress test the work they'd been doing - from memory it was in the low 140kWs but not sure of the dyno type or conditions.
