Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Bit confusing dates are right for the 9N,s but the mark is wrong. Mk4 is a 6N1.95-99. Typo perhaps . My 6N2 is Mk5.The 6n1 would adjust up with an eccentric and so would mines ( mk5), just wondering where they would have this on the 9N?? struts and how the struts are mounted to the hubcarriers are completely different. I know someone i can ask that can ask direct to clarify guys

          Cheers

Cheers Jimmy! There is an install guide if you click on the info section first that might help you piece it all together from the diagram.

Just did and you dont have an upper and lower clevis hole in the 9N, the 6n1 and 6N2 models do so i think a typo here. Mk4 does have upper and lower, im sure they meant to say 6N and not 9N, but some 9N bits are listed. Weird. The 9N is a clamp bolt and cant be used like they say in the diagram.
Back then when we had this set up you could by camber correction bolts from VW anyway. I can see this method would have been handie too. This set up was also for MK3, MK2,MK1 , Corrado and Passat variants.
Only way i can see the 9N doing it is like Eddies set up, im sure someone will mainstream that soon
