Sort of spent a lot of money at the moment. Bought the car cheap so I had some money left over for some upgrades.
I don't thrash my cars but not expecting miracles with this clutch. When it goes it will be an excuse to upgrade.
What sort of power are you expecting?

LOL. And how long do you reckon you're going to keep your licence once you get it back?

I want to get the Wavetrac as it has a plate that loads up the wormdrive to lock the diff if there is excess slip on one side (with no grip on one axle, the Quaife, Peloquin and Torsen still spin like an open diff).

Definately need to do some research into that area soon.

I spoke to John from DNA about this the other day.
He suggested running a degreaser through the oil feed line, then blowing air through it, then running clean oil through it to clean out any degreaser.

                      Cheers.

The Polo uses the 02R gearbox, its much the same as an 02J but the gearbox casing is slightly different, the bell housing is from an 02j

Hey Jimmy, would a 02J simply bolt on to the Polo?

Fraid not mate, its the gearbox case thats different, ala main part, thats where the mounting castings are. Im almost 100% sure there, but your timing of question is good i have an 02R ( wrecked) and i have a good 02J going into a car in a couple of days ill match it up but sure im right
                              Cheers

If you are still doing the hybrid with that turbo i gave ya you can use the same pipes and whoever is fitting not assuming i would be fitting, should check them anyway, big thing to do, in fact a must , mileage doesnbt come into as much as the servicing does, you do yours regular so they would be clear but still need to be checked. im sure you only have to change the pipe if you fit a hybrid sump as it terminates in a higher spot, i fitted the Franken to Litos Golf and used all the orig pipes with new washers of course. They didnt supply any, where VW thunder did get some being wrong anyway, i learnt the hard way with that but well noted for any more i do.
