Ok ill have my rant. These guys in their falcons and the likes forget that their car came off the same line as the normal bog standard ****ty Ford or holden. The Real Audi and VW stuff comes from a very different factory. The falcon and holden( u notice i dont even use capitals hehehe) comes off the line and then is sent to have the other crap fitted to it but the VAG stuff is fitted and finished perfecto!!! Just look at the R32 or RS4 they have completely different DNA----- do the Falcon or Holdens???? I think Not!!!!!!!

Meh some of you guys are way to biased - I can appreciate a car no matter what badge it has on the front of it.

Your standard 4L falcon will hand a standard polo GTI it's ass - A few mods on both and it starts to even up a little - Don't compare your modded to car stock models.

I think some people get too emotional about their cars and don't take enough notice of flaws.

Yeah biased u are probably right. i appreciate all cars but when the owners become tools and belittling the likes of the Polo owners then lets look at facts. 4 litre 6 cyl Ford i would hope it would give the Polo its ass or there should be questions!!!! Little 4 cyl Polo Hmm dont underestimate. I know a White one up here in Brizzy that embarrassed a Falcon from the lights.

Biased hey.. well the only car I've let overtake me was a ridiculously quick Porsche GT3... nothing too emotional about that.

I've never received anything other than a couple of complementary comments at the local BP, and a few nice comments out of the window from (usually male) drivers of other performance cars - a Nissan 350z and Z4-M (Coupe) amongst them.

That being said - there isn't many of the 'modified Commodore/Skyline' crew around these parts.

its known that the polo gti gives better performance then the golf gti, if he was a real vw intheno person he would know that.

The prob went with the golf gti coz he liked the sound of gti....tosser

none taken. in standard guise, you're right, no comparison. when modified, the power-to-weight ratio advantage of the polo provides it with a significant advantage (if our criteria is based on performance).

60mph is approximately 98.5kph. The difference probably equates to somewhere around 0.1 seconds.
