Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

im only new here but thought id tell my story, makes u realise how fragile you can be

im also on the lookout for another Polo, preferably something with a PCD of 5x100 as i have wheels waiting to go on and i went to a huge amount of trouble to get them.
    MY11 Polo Trendline, Candy white

Sorry to hear about your loss mate. It's quite reassuring to know that the car provided adequate protection. I've seen a written off polo like ours, the thing was practically a jumping castle inside with all of those airbags!
Care to spill the dirt on these wheels you've procured?

Happy to hear you're still here to tell your story!

I imagine it wont be too hard to find another one. Maybe put a wanted to buy in the classifieds.

You could even find a nice second hand GTI... they're 5 * 100

        Cheers,

        -Phil.

Does this mean there's going to be a part out?

In all seriousness hope you're okay though!

Wow dude, glad to hear you're OK (well, broken spine and written off car aside).

What are you after? Stock, modded, etc?

            Speedy recovery.

Oh crap, dude. That's horrible news! Really hope your spine heals properly. Who cares about the car when it's your life involved!

Hopefully, you had it insured well above market value, though.

Bad news mate. Hope you get well soon. 9N3 GTI's are getting cheap these days so you should be able to find a good one at a good price. Get well soon

Great to hear that the Polo took care of you to it's premature end and all the best with the recovery

Will you get a 6R, a 9N3 GTi or another Pacific? A Pacific diesel is yet another great option.
You never did say what wheels you ended up getting...

Hi guys, well id love a GTI polo but currently on my P's and the forms are annoying. and also i only have a automatic license atm so im down to looking for autos ( manuals impress high school girls but autos win races ). I would like another pacific 9N as i think they look great and my price range is around 15k.
sorry forgot to tell you aslo, my wheels i got which are currently in a warehouse in alexandria are Wolfrace Messina's, 17" you guys should check them out as they are sick and they import them into sydney as they have an office here too.

So yeah i would love another polo, but i need a PCD of 5x100 otherwise its really just a waste of money.. plus i love the wheels

Those Wolfrace Messina's look a bit like Superturismos. Not too bad. How much did they set you back?

                        You could allways look at a Mk 4 Golf, They're all 5 x 100?

Or an Auto VR6 - there's loads of people who wouldn't want an auto VR6 so you might be able to find one cheap.

                              Not red!! ahaha sorry
