Tyre OD size and their effect on the speedo

The question is: Does the 215x40x70 tyre size on a 17 inch set of VW Siata accessory rims with the correct offset suit a 2008 Polo GTI - without any tyre rubbing on suspension or body parts?

hi there mate, i currently have 18" rims with 215/35/18 tyres and have experience no problems whatsoever, mind you suspension is still stock standard. But i'll will be lowering (40mm fronts, 50mm rears)her very shortly so we'll see if it becomes a problem then.
