I'd be interested in feedback from those who have installed braces other than the front upper strut brace.
I understand that making the chassis more rigid is generally a good thing, but I also have read a few posts on some people not having felt any real difference.

I definitely rate the upper strut bar, I'm running the forge one. I had to modify the airbox to make it accessible with the brace installed.

Sorry mate, not trying to hijack your thread, but also get some opinions going as well.

I have the Ultra Racing rear bur, the lower one Volkswagen Polo Mark 4 1.8 Turbo Rear Lower Bar / Rear Member Brace UR-RL2-1173

Noticed a difference after i put it in. Going up steep driveways etc, most of the creaking is dissapeared due to it improving the rigidity of the chassis.

Like the build quality of it too, dont really like the white, but love the nice thick strong welds

i used to drive a honda civic, and i installed top and bottom strut bar on my civic and notice huge different on mountain run, with the stability and body roll, thats why im sticking with ultra racing, they are malaysia brand, but their product are great, gonna admit that if u install top and bottom at the same time, u will feel the different in corner! thats from my civic experience

Are you referring to front strut brace and front lower brace or rear strut and rear lower brace?

I'd certainly be keen on a front strut brace (upper).

Is the lower brace a DIY job? Does it require a wheel alignment being completed after fitting? And lastly, does the brace hang low? I scrape on enough things as it is, without being particularly low.

Have you guys looked into the forge front strut braces?
I had one on my old Polo GTI.
Looked better than these, in my opinion.
Might've given a quicker turn in, or that might've just been placebo.

I normally purchase aluminium braces for my Evo but when I was looking at improving the Mitsubishi i's horribly rolly suspension, I didn't have much choice so I got the Ultra racing. Odd that they would make one for that car. I partnered it with a ColtSpeed front strut with brake stopper and I felt the car felt more rigid cornering.

                          But these are heavy tho.
