Anybody have an opinion on them? It's a fairly fresh idea, inspired by a frozen grey wrapped TT that I saw. I regret buying my GTI in red, I don't think it complements my wheel options as well as the silver, white GTI's out there. Has anyone had experience with them or know of ballpark figures?

$2k is about right, $2.5k will get u metalics and pearls.
If you want to change the color of your car and keep it that way you are better off with a respray for 2k. Wraps look OKAY in solid colors but i wouldnt go near metalics and pearls.MK1 GLS 3door

So about $2K. Mmm, gives me something to think about. I like the fact that it's removable come resale time. Not everyone likes a resprayed car or I would do it myself! Here's the link if you're interested:
Jonny C's wrapped TT-RS
...and yeah if probably choose a similar gun metal kind of grey.
In terms of longetivity, say I left the wrap on 5 years or longer, does it get harder to remove with age?

All films get harder to remove after time, with saying that, vehicle wraps are usually a 7-10 year films!
it shouldn't be too bad, you will need a heat gun and glue remover though!
applied and pulled off many wraps in my time of working in the industry!GIAC | FORGE | D2 | TURBOSMART | K&N | XFORCE |
