anyone know?

Hi guys,
i was doing some wiring under my dash and noticed a taped up wire hanging down near the fuse box, after removing the fury tape there are 2 wires crimped together (no solder) they are grey with a black stripe, anyone know what these are for, they are in the factory insulation tape and are just hanging there, oh, i have a 9N polo gti
