The polo 9N uses Generation 2 hub bearings and reqs special tools to fit, the hub and bearing come together as one unit., local VW dealer didnt even have it, they borrow it from HQ in Sydney, so i made one to do the job, the tool price is through the roof, if i see more then ill buy the tool but till then ill use what i have. Hub carrier , crazy , would have done no harm keeping the old set up but well not much we can do there. Hub carrier is very similar to the Mk4 , havent tried , havent had to . Hmm

As mentioned never have had the need to fit one, ive done replcement Gen 2 bearings. before saying yes to that one would need to try it with some old bits, but like i say never had to do it, they "look " similar .Originally posted by kaanage View Post
