  • Changing gear

Juz wondering it seems not smooth and too slow when changing from first to second.
Especially when i want to seed up in first gear to 3rev and then change to second gear --the car is shaking strongly
Anyone can help? is that my technique or my cars problem?
I hv no problem with my previous jazz, so i think my technique is fine
    06 POLO GTI RED HOT

When my car is cold it can be a little clunky, but otherwise it's sweet (compared to a lot of other cars I've driven anyway), found it fairly similar in the Polo when I had my hands on that.

Maybe go take a mazda 3 for a drive, then see how you find it.
I have my RED , 3DR MKV GTI with leather in manual and I love it!

I think we'll need a bit more detail than that - some people have had problems with their gearboxes.

Notchy is pretty normal - crunching is not. Try allowing for a bit of "overrun" on the throttle as you do the 1-2 change. I've always done this as a matter of course, but it could be that I've just been lucky with my 'box.
