Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

... of the fuel light coming on with the bell sound EXACTLY as I am reaching for the keys to turn off the car having pulled into the Caltex station in (no pun intended, seriously) Bell street for my scheduled Tuesday PM refill.

    Yeap, that's right, no kidding!

It was also my second Caltex as the one just next to it closer to the Tulla didn't have the 98 (doh!). I had used other ones before a bit more out of my way but just realised these were more on my route.

I just sat there for a little bit and thought, well, thanks for telling me, I reckon I've got just the thing for you my dear little pug.

I fill it up on my fuel card every Tuesday night, regardless of how much is left in the tank. Due to a Daylesford trip over the weekend the usage was a bit over normal this week. I normally only use about 60-65% of a tank.

Ive actually had that happen too.

    But.

Ive also seen the fuel light come on many kilometers away from servos.
