  • Just a thought!

ive ordered the PD160 intake, and this will pump more air in buy far,
i know this, but what i was was thinking, and im glad to be told it cant be done or it can be but its stupid and wont do much but..=).....
but just for knowledge sake and maybe the extra ram of air!
modifying the standard box and make a custom pipe down to the lower grill, having 2 pipes entering the airbox??

in my head it sounds like it would work, but the effort doing this??
    worth it??

Keen to hear peoples responses =)
    Cheers matty!

check our Anthony's (VWindahouse) thread as he's done it recently with one ram style pipe - it was apparently a mongrel job to fit given such limited space, and he's pulled out lots of pieces to make it fit. So you're theory is fine, just in practise I don't know where you'll find the space to get piping.

the PD160 does just fine for a chipped Polo. If you had a full exhaust and intake work, injectors, 4 bar fuel pressure reg, etc, then you could start maxing out the flow through the PD160, but from my recent playing, the difference is negligable.

If you want to play with a pod filter setup, you're welcome to my pod, shield, etc to see how it goes / sounds.
