I used v power racing on my golf gti...its awesome..but im having dramas with my car so its very inconsistent...Originally posted by FL00DY View PostAnyone used V-Power Racing? I pulled into a Shell the other day that had it. Has anyone used it? I don't get it when people say they feel a diff between the 98's or they perfer one over the other. I dare say a Dyno would show a stuff all difference, and how often will you pull your engine apart to see how clean your engine is after using the diff 98's? V-power Racing compared to V-power however, I'd be keen to see that diff on a Dyno.
however i have an oettinger chip and i feel that its more responsive with BP ultimate..

You will definately feel the difference with VPower Racing - even a standard car - the car really lifts its skirts and boogies. And for what is probably an extra $8 for a tank (that's barley two domestic beers in a pub) once in a while it's fun!

I put in 95, accidentally, 2 times! - Annoyingly my local Caltex don't put signs distinguishing 95 from 98...they just say "Premium". I thought my receipt had it wrong when I checked it had "95RON" on it.Originally posted by kreuze View PostI heard the Polo GTI can also handle 95RON. Can anyone confirm/deny?
Called up Caltex & let them know that they need to put better signage up at my local (newer servos might be better)!!!

Anyway, I noticed a little drop in performance, but it was ok - the sticker in the fuel cap says min 95, so it mustn't do any damage if that's what you're worried about.MY16 MK7 Golf GTI

95 would not hurt the engine at all, i've don eit once, cant say i felt verry much of a diffrence.
but, it was only once, normally allways put in 98 in it.
it's higher octane so it's slightly better for the engine, it's more expensive but more economical as well...
her is a dyno test from different fuell types...
shell VS BP VS supermarket Fuell, good revieuw.

in reply to how far you can go when the distance to empty shows zero....
i drove from Karoonda (just outside of town) to Murray Bridge with the distance to empty showing 0kms - somewhat further than 7kms......
kept it on 90kph and giggled every time the little idiot light beeped at me. was a funny drive.
that was on premium unleaded something. but normally i use BP ultimate.Last edited by blackbetty; 24-01-2011, 12:04 PM.06 Polo GTI
