Turbo to downpipe gasket orientation

Hi all,

My milltek exhaust just arrived and looking through the bits and pieces I found the turbo to downpipe gasket.
Just a quick Q; The gasket has a steel O-ring, but one side of the gasket appears to have more of a steel face than the other. Which way around would be recommended (if any) to fit it up.
Bit of a stupid question really but better to ask then have to pull it off again
