    Hi Guys and Girls!
My names Hayley and I've had my 2008 9n3 TDI since Jan this year.

you can read my intro thread here:
    http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...rth-63213.html

Anyways, Ive been looking around for rims for ages! anyways, I was at harbour town last weekend and found this baby in the carpark!

I almost fell in love right there in the carpark, anyone have any idea what they are? I really regret not having a closer look at the time!!!

Also! wheres the best place to get touch up paint? Ive got a few little stone chips that I want to cover up, dealer? or can I just get it from a paint place?

Now for some reason, my side bumpers on my car are black... I'm not sure who in the world thought of this, but to me it just doesn't look right. (makes it look like a getz). Ive seen other Polo's around that have the matching Silver, so i know they exist. So whats going to be easier, Painting them or finding silver ones? Ive heard they can be quite pricey (one of my dads friends wanted them for his Triton and they asked for 270 per bumper per door!)

Who thought that looked right!! Maybe I'm just picky.

Anyways, last question, All my male friends want me to chuck a bov on it, and I mean alllll of them! I have no want at all, but I did hear something that made me think, apparently you cant put them on a turbo diesel?? anyone know if thats true or false?

Hey, and welcome to the forum.

First of all, you cannot fit a BOV to the Polo TDI, or almost any diesel for that matter. The wheels on the Golf in the first picture will not fit your Polo either unfortunately (well, not legally anyway). This is because the stud pattern (PCD) on those wheels is 5x112, and the Polo is 5x100. You could get wheel hub adaptors, but these are illegal in all states (you can risk a defect, or your insurance if you do run them). You might be able to get replica's in the right PCD for your car.

As for the colour coding of the rub strips on the doors and bumpers. They are colour coded from factory, and as far as I know, will have to be painted. I'm sure a Perth local could point you in the right direction for a good panel beater/painter.

should be a good start to whet your whistle for some ideas.

                No probs Gebbieh,

Polo GTI rims come up from time to time. I have a set of 4 at the moment that I may decide to part with in the future.

Combine that with lowering springs, like these from Blitzen

                And you have a winner

Also noticed 17in Denvers with 5 x 100 PCD in the classifieds too, but not sure how they would go with your car

Yep they're the ones! They are also the 38ET version that came out so a little extra poke too

Up for sale is a set (4x) of genuine VW 16" Denvers of a Polo GTI (previous shape), the stud pattern is 5x100 6.5 ET38 so it will fit a MarkIII VR6/ IV Golf no problems.
