I think it may do with a bit of trimming around the top right hand side... The front bracket mount looks to be in the right place

should be close, not very cheap, seems pretty basic for the cost.

exactly. Go buy some sheet metal, a mild steel mandrel bend and a couple of silicon connectors and you're set!

              Hoyhoy.

Anthony she still looks standard under the lid & from the exterior, but she's going quite a bit different these days, plenty of tinkering has been going on & as we speak, she's beautiful to drive.
The wife says that she is going to come back as a car next time around.

The PD160 intake is quite sufficient when it comes to power and responsiveness, other air intakes simply provide more induction noise and add to the placebo of power, i find taking the engine vw cover off provides a fair bit acceleration noise

I'm interested in the intake, its been a project I've wanted to do for ages, but I've not got around to yet. The unfortuante reality is that to do it the way I want, I have to remove the SAI (again) and move the battery or use a smaller battery, all which require some level of fabrication, which I don't think I have the skill for and don't want to pay someone else to do...

                        1 step at a time I guess...

Could buy the oval BMC OTA and shift the standard battery right just a little. This is my plan in a week or two (have it gathering dust in my garage at the moment). Costs a decent amount though.

I've got the actual cylinder one, which has been sitting in the garage brand new about 6 months ago, lol. Maybe we should install together Kang haha.

Don't think I'll lay out the cash for a CDA, what is the MAF connection sizing? 2.5"?

Maybe something more like this (with a better filter): POD FILTER INTAKE STARTER KIT WITH INDUCTION PIPE "NEW" | eBay

I can see myself installing something for a month or 2, not noticing any difference and putting it back the way it was...
