  • Polo 9N recirculation goes off

    Hi All

I have a problem that is getting to me. When I press the recirc button, it lights up and works as usual with the fan running. But about a minute or so later it goes off automatically.

Any ideas as to the cause or how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

Ours does the same. It has been noted on the last 2 services that there are fault codes associated with the motor.

Hopefully I can get something done about this annoyance.

I had this problem with my old polo. Same symptoms, doesn't matter how many times you press recirc button, it would always switch off after 30-60secs. One day with engine off, was messing around and could hear recirc flap motor constantly running (as it was constantly trying to close), but couldn't. Took it to VW and they diagnosed it with a faulty recirc motor, which was replaced under warranty (also switch to cover all bases) and all good since...

Mmmmm, seems to be a real problem in these 9Ns, just as Mk III Golf had electric window motor issues.

Mine does this, but I thought it was a feature rather than a problem!

Thanks guys. Maybe I will start by changing the switch and take it from there. It's an irritating problem.

Here's a thought. Try it with the aircon on - worked for me.

I tried it with the aircon on, no differnce. I even changed the pollen filter hoping in some way it was related
