  • 9N Polo Sedan?

Did VAG import the Polo Sedan into Australia?
I spotted one recently in Sydney and I had never seen one before.
    Private import?

There are a few in Melbourne,2005 models, but I am not sure how many were imported, maybee a few hundred.

They were all manuals, and expensive, for the same money you could have bought a Corolla 1.8 auto sedan, which was probably much more car.

The Polo sedan died in Australia, but is STILL a top seller in South Africa.

And the new Polo sedan, sold in India as the Vento,Russia, and South Africa is a great looking car this time around, looks like a mini new Jetta.

              Thanks guys.

Yes, it isn't the prettiest of cars. Reminds me of the Mazda 2 and Toyota Echo Sedans (hatches with a boot tacked on).

Here is a review. Apparently, hatchbacks are seen as lower end in some markets (eg Russia)

Is the drive train interchangable with the hatch?

I imagine the underpinnings would be similar... 1.8t polo sedan

I saw a couple of facelifted 9N3 versions while I was in Shanghai last month, they look a little better

Not all that good looking, but I sure could do with the extra boot space.

It looks weirder in the metal since the car is so narrow. Those 3/4 pics make it look much more balanced than it actually is.

BTW Maris, your inbox here is full.
