Anyone else had any weird episodes of their GTI blowing white smoke (more than just a whiff) ocassionally. Usually at idle or takeoff soon after. Not turbo related as it does not show when you boot it. Haven't seen it for a while now. Jimmys looking into it. Interested if anyone had similar prob?

Bugger... How much would someone be looking for to replace the valve guides and seals?? I imagine it would be quite expensive...

Oh yeah, its a new head if the guides are gone unfortunately. Bad enough if its just stem seals too.
