  • Condensation in headlights

After the recent downpour in Sydney, my car's drivers side headlight began collecting condensation. It's been a couple of days already since I last took it out, and the water is still on the lens, and some have formed a small pool on the bottom.

Does anyone else have a similar problem? I remember there was a thread on this, but I couldn't find it. Last time this happened, the water went away eventually. But in the mean time, it makes visibility poorer, and surely it's bot good for the bulb.

So, any idea why this is happening? Any way to get rid of the moisture? Any seals I might need to replace?

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks after I bought my Polo GTI and I took it to the dealer. They swapped the entire headlight unit under warranty and it never happened again.
So not sure if its the whole unit you need to check or if theres a particular seal?

I had/have the same issue, took it to VW they said they couldn't find it and obviously didn't do it under warranty, pissed off and it now is happening more frequently and it is well outside of warranty.
