  • MY 2006 POLO GTI - HEADUNIT / IPhone - Ipod connectivity

    Hi,

Trying to determine best way to get my IPhone - Ipod linked to the stock standard 2006 POLO GTI headunit.

Have talked to Xcarlink, but they are unsure if it will work.

Have spoken to Barlow World in Sydney and they can do its too exxy!!

Pls recommend product or installers or both.

    Many Thanks!

What do you want? Whats your budget?

I have the connects2 one, its not a charger / interface unit, its a headphone style audio cable only. Sound is good.

You will need to borrow or buy head-unit keys or work out a way of getting it out.

I would say it's pretty far from inconclusive... You have several options in there that work for sure... I have the Xcarlink iPod interface for 2 years, and paid 65 Pounds for it, it takes 10 min to fit yourself and even comes with tools, and I can tell you for a fact that it works with iPhone 3G and 4G, iPod touch, and iPod Nano, and works with my IPad (but doesn't support charging on this unit)... If that isn't conclusive, I don't know what is...

Just for your reference.... This is what I have... http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.ph...3&cat=2&page=1
