Finally - after 6 weeks of battling the bureaucracy of leasng companies and Singapore based head offices I drove off in a red standard GTI (well, it has tinted windows...).

I can now contribute as an owner.

And the good news so far? After 170kms on the first day, the gearbox still functions

Thanks fellas - loving it - great little car. So far mostly boring M1 style highway miles but looking forward to the weekend!

First mod will be sway bars followed by better brake fluid, pads & braided lines (probably at the first service).

Mines plated 05/07 - anyone else able to beat that?

Hmmmmmmm.

Stupid Blackberry (what an overrated piece of technology they are) has no camera and I'm a Pentax SLR 35mm kinda guy.

So you are going to have to close your eyes and imagine a dead stock red GTI with darker windows

hmm. i like stock polos....they are very unique in this forum at the moment (with everyone else having mods!!!)

OH since you have SLR camera, i expect some fantastic SLR shots!!!
