Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bye Bye Pogo

Feeling a bit sad today...wanted to get the new model Polo but couldn't accept the 12 month wait, got offered a good price for a Golf GTI so grabbed it...picked up the Golf on tuesday and said bye bye to my Polo tonight..

I have to say the Polo (with APR) has SO much more character than the Golf that it's not funny

I was starting to consider 'upgrading' to a Golf, purely because there are so many aftermarket goodies.
Will be interested in your thoughts 6 months down the track when you've had more time to get to know your new car.

this might come across as a silly question...

why the new car? do you get a little stir-crazy after a few years (like i guess most folks do, including myself, sorta)?

Yeah, massive customization in some Spanish countries... Same old issue about shipping costs, but if you've got the coin, lots of bits...

its an interesting question. i hang onto cars for ever. i'll be in the pog 2,3,4 years hence probably. I've had 5 cars in my 17 - 45 years. i'd be really interested to know how those who change cars regularly go in relationships. obvious thought is a correlation between the restless urge to upgrade or change also consciously or otherwise carries over into relationships. but of course that may not be the case. anyone???

I was going to upgrade as was getting a little bored with the Pog, just didn't have the $$$$$ lol

Now I've done a few modifications to her, I have fallen in love again... I guess what this is saying is if your relationship is stale (car or partner) get them some 'modifications'

How many hours do you have?

Try Googling 9n3 and going to some foreign pages, I used to spend hours looking for obscure stuff.

This forum has lots of pics of customised Polo's
