hi guys! just wondering whats out there for me to replace my standard pads. Im located in springvale melbourne. any suppliers around me i can ring for prices.
just looking for a better breaking pad compared To the soft standard ones.

Not sure if they are available for PoGs, but Carbone Lorraine pads are probably the best I've ever used.

Greg hooked me up with Remsa pads (matched with RDA slotted rotors), and it was a nice positive upgrade from the stock pads/rotors. Definitely had more bite, but more impressively had far less fade when hot.

I still remember the first time i braked in anger in the new pog and i nearly ended up wedged under the truck in front of me. i thought, hmmmm new euro car does not always mean better brakes than the 14yr old Daihatsu Charade it replaces. Remsa pads are sooo much better than the standard sponges.

Euro's have soft pads... It also keeps braking very quiet.

Just call Greg at GSL Rallysports here in Qld and I'm sure he'll post a set down for a competitive price.

Fitting is easy, and if you don't want to do it yourself any old mechanic will be able to fit them for a small outlay.

Ive bought discs and pads for 3 of my cars from Greg, and have had them fitted at my local Brakes Plus. after paying them to fit them, i still came out in front $$$ wise



Edit: If you are really, really wanting to buy locally (will probably cost you more in the long run) id suggest searching for an RDA stockist in your area for discs:

As for Remsa, im not sure where to get them from locally unfortunately

Did a driving course last week and to my surprise the stock brakes actually pull you up ahead of most cars, in the pull up from 65 i outbreaked late model Toyota corolla's, Holden captiva's and peugeo 206's actually stopping directly on the cones, these cars were about 2 - 3 meters furthur.

I was impressed, yet the stock brakes could use some extra feel

They pull up fine, for one or two times but don't cut it for spirited driving through twisties.

Good pads will help
