Yeah, when I first saw them I thought they looked like a very OEM setup, but in one of the pics they look a little chunky? Haven't convinced myself either way yet though.

Have been giving the DRL thing some thought lately as well, my only concern is that they may restrict the apeture of the air intake next to the drivers side fog light? Anyone else think this would be an issue?

I'd be more worried about restricting flow to the SMIC.

For an aftermarket product they don't look as "chintzy" as I was expecting. Don't look any more out of place than the HSV's and Mercedes running around with them. Audi on the other hand, look awesome.

Oops, my bad, SMIC was what I meant. I've been thinking of running one along the top slit of the intake, which would cover approx 20-25% of the surface area. What could be adversely affected if I were to do so?

if you're concerned about airflow, you could drill/cut out sections of it to open it up more.

Not sure on the look of these though. They remind me of funky transformer eyes.

I dont really like them either, I was after some projectors so I can put a HID kit in

Maybe your just saying they look good, cause you dont want our polos to look as good as your one or your misses, or whoever it is lol

Question to all: if you were to install said DRL's on your polo, where abouts would you mount them, how many diodes/length of light would you prefer?

Careful buying headlights from Europe - they are designed for Left-Hand-Drive cars so the beam will dip to the wrong side!

Too much of a wank unless your car had them from factory if you ask me. Ie: The new Golf R ones are hoooot.
