Hey guys,

Steve-o here with yet another silly question!

Has anyone else noticed that when you put your car in reverse, your fans get louder??????????????

I noticed it when i first got the car but it never really bothered me until i got more and more curious so i investigated....
When i select reverse (with fans on) the fans sound louder and now i know why...... for some reason, the air recirculation flap engages? In my opinion, there can be no reason for this.

Any ideas anyone???????????

This is to stop you sucking up your own exhaust fumes. Which i thought was a neat touch... i mean completely unnecessary imo... but neat.

I agree, a little unnecessary, but a nice touch! Although judging by the amount of soot on my tailgate and bumper, it's probably very much required - i don't wanna be breathing that in!
