Yeah I was wondering about that too. Is there a technique like pushing it down before filling up until all the hissing is gone or do you keep doing it every so often while filling or press it after the first click goes off when filling? Sorry for the questions, havent had a chance to try it out yet as the wife's driving the pog now and the tank is full everytime I go and want to give it a try.

I think the tank is designed for expansion for heat/cold cycles - and shouldn't really be overfilled that way.
It's only letting the car take extra fuel = extra weight. You are not getting better mileage - but you do get some convenience not having to go to petrol station as frequently.

With fuel nearing $1.60 for us pogo gti drivers, if you get it in the $1.40 range, get as much of the **** as you can.

milage was probably the wrong term to use

i used to get about 350-400kms per tank....currently have done 200kms and have 3 quarter tank left - overfill option is great...just wondering if its actually doing anything detrimental to the vehicle?

            +1
would have though excess pressure would be bad? although i would probably like to use it on a long drive, considering i could only get from Gundagai - Craigebourne before the fuel light came on

Surely a certain amount of air space in the tank would be to alllow for fuel expanding in the tank when it's hot, might dribble out the top if you're really filling it to the brim - potential for paintwork damage unless you wash it off?? How much extra did you really get in the tank on a fill? Can't see much point unless you're about to embark on a long haul drive or something tbh.

If you're going to bring fuel prices into the argument, you might save a dollar or so if you squeeze in a few extra drops when it's a cheap day. So what, drive economically or buy 1 less cup of coffee a week & you'll save $5.

getting about an extra 5 to 8 litres in the tank...could squeeze more if i had the patience so its not exactly to spilling point if you know what i mean...extended range is a welcome edition for sure
