....If you were looking at a newer model, the new Polo is just about the worst combination you could find... 1.4TSI, DSG, and looks like the Elephant Man and Maverick spawned a child, that was that set on fire, then run over repeatedly by a Mk6 Adidas special... Then again, you could just buy a car with slightly scuffed wheels and go from there...

Yeh, I was thinking more along the lines of a low-k 2008/9 model (with leather & roof bling etc)

There's a 2008 GTI for sale at a dealers, but following threats of legal action from the dealer after posting a report of my attempt to drive the car on this forum, I really can't suggest you buy from him.
Nice car (Red, 25,000km, but no leather or sunroof). Almost $22k, though.
