While it is not cool for dealers (or anyone for that matter) to not live up to what they promise, there is a lot to be said for approaching them about the problem with the appropriate attitude/manners or tact. You may be surprised how a far a calm attitude will get you. It does not matter who it is but if people are approached with a hostile manner they will immediately go on the offensive and not be open to helping you...just my 2 cents worth..

MORAL of this story is to get anything offered to u written on the contract. cos then its binding.

Absolutely agree... if it is all written on the purchasing contract then they CANNOT get out of it or ask you to pay for it.
No matter how trivial you think the item is you should get it all included on the contract of sale. Never trust a verbal statement as it can always be denied later.

i wrote a letter of complaint, addressed it to the sales manager, and havnt hear from them since then...looks like they are ignoring me??? well, i filled up a complaint form, going down to department of fair trading tmr. see what happen next.

Best of luck mate, sorry to hear you have so much trouble. But you just gotta deal with it. You won't believe the hard trouble I've gotten from Citylink failing to register my own pug properly in their systems, looking at 4 x $100 notices from the Police following their incompetence. It has been an absolute pain to have to follow it up and explain how incompetent they are.

things aint that simple. i hav already sent a official letter of complaint to the head sales manager, and they ignored me. and as what george point out before, u cant just post peoples name everywhere. further, i hav seeked porper advice from gov official, will take it from there.

after a few months battle, i was notified by a officer of department of fair trade 2 weeks ago that the matter hav been settled and vw dealer agrees to give me the iPod which was originally promoised.
However, the sales manager of vw was totally irresponsilble that she would not return my call or call me to hav the matter settle??? im feeling like a cat chasing a rat!!! anyway battle cont.
