Where is closest spare 12V port for POLO GTI 06? (not cigarette one)

Im gonna buy some blue LED strips from parklea and the item needs 12V power to a fuse to red terminal on LED. and a ground.

where can i find this in the car as POLO GTI does not have a haynnes manual like my old civic.

Will there be a similar fuse board behind the dash on the driver side somewhere?

Also, if i connect stuff to the fuse board, will the car's ECU flash that i connected something illegal? =___=

In my one there is a 12V port in the boot, right hand side, just below the parcel shelf.
Don't know if that is what you're after.

First of all, I don't condone fitting of any tacky lighting to any car.

BUT, for my auxilliary activated 12v line for my boost gauge I piggy-backed a line attached to the headlight switch. That said, I'd be checking how much voltage your lights are drawing as my boost gauge only required a tiny amount of voltage.

As for negative and illumination wires, use the wires going to the lighter socket.

LOL, hahahhaha thanks. But, that's the thing, it's so tacky that it's cool (in thailand it was anyway). Plus its only on the inside =). I would never undercar neon.

i dont like the use of the cigi thing, so yea 12V and using ur instr should be fine. i prolly just solder the wires to a switch first so its not on all the time. i dont know current rating, but something similar at strathfield read 12V, 0.33amps which is ultra low.
