I live in Cape Town and would of loved to have a couple of pics taken of your car next to my Tdi since they are similar in appearance (similar drop, Lamin-x Head lights, black badge and i also have o.z. rims but mine are the oem .:r32 17's in Black). Just mine is Silverbird.

Ah, pity there bud. There was an 8 page thread on VWClub about it. Pg8+ are photos & video etc. Would've made for some nice photo's to have you there. What suspension are you running?

also do you get access to any Polo TDI performance parts... FMIC kits, turbo upgrades, injectors, EGR delete pipes etc???

yeah it'd be interesting to see what the 74kw would be capable of with pd150 intake manifold, injectors, egr delete, and a custom tune...

I might do that, but I think we'll wait until we get started on the build again, as things are on hold for a little bit.

In terms of upgrades locally, here in SA, not much mate. I'll be bringing all my big bits in from the UK. FMIC will be Seat Sport which will be local and EGR delete done via blank off's. I'll possibly do the race pipe when I redo boost pipes.

Was more aimed at being excited for you, that you're going to the UK - it will probably tempt (force) you to purchase those items. It's going to be a couple more years until Sooty gets "built".

Ah thanks very much I look forward to it. Just working out at this stage if it is easier just ordering them from here and bringing them over or picking them up there and bringing it back as excess baggage.

Check your airline policy on excess baggage, some airlines charge like a wounded cave troll, others maybe not so bad. It may be cheaper to pick them up there and post or airfreight them, or even to let the company freight them.
