Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Polo with 17inch wheels

    Hey everyone

    Im seriously considering getting some new wheels for the GTI


    Im dead set keen on getting some golf GTI replica wheels in 17inch.
    At the dealership i work at we deal alot with a tyrepower just down the road.

    Apparently they can get all sorts of replica wheels for my car custom drilled to the correct 5x100 et 35???

    Apparently i can get
    *bora wheels (fattish 5 spokes)
    *RS4 wheels <--- WOW but may look small in 17inch
    *apparently mk4 r32 wheels

    and maybe a few others..


    Also thinking 205/40/17 tyre, perhaps Michelin pilot preceda2's

    Opinions, suggestions?

    But the mk4r32 is a 18" wheel!
    I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
