I know neons aren't everyones things... and they aren't normally my thing... but i did dabble in them with my old car. Not just around lighting up the car like a christmas tree, something a little different...
What i did in my old car was blue neon in the footwells... the twist however was for them to turn red when the revs went above 4000 rpm. That was a pretty cool thing, its was quite fun to go on spirited drives... and i've never saw it before, everyone was quite stunned when they switched colours.
Now i have my polo... i wasn't really that intrested in neons, i had my bit of fun before, and after a while, never really turned them on, so the idea never entered my head... until tonight.
I thought instead of switching on a set rpm... i could get them to switch at a certain boost level...
Just wondering what anyone thoughts were, and maybe ideas on implemenation.
In the rpm change it was a case of building a shift light and getting it to switch a relay from blue to red... in the case some sort of pressure switch.
Another idea i am toying with is to get not only the neons to switch, but maybe the dash lights...
