  • Brake pad shim

    g'day all,

just changed my rotors and pads (front only) on my '06 gti, and didnt put the shims from my old pads onto the new ones. As a result, its a bit squeely!

is there a part number for these shims? do vw stock them at their dealer spare parts shops?

    cheers

Any good brake specialist will have universal self adhesive shims that you can use.

Just put the old shims on from the old pads. I had no dramas there. Nice and simple and you don't have to spend any extra cash.

Squeely brakes make it sound like a rally car, which I think is cool!! Ok, so I'm drunk...
