  • R Line 17" - Anyone have them? Photos?

How much do they cost from the dealer normally?
Will the dealer haggle over the price of them if you are buying the car as well?
What did you pay for yours?

99% sure I'll be buying a new GTI this week

    Thanks!

Best advice is, don't get them with car. IMHO you are much better off buying it with the stock wheels, and then sell the wheels to make way for the R-lines. When I was buying my GTI back in Feb 06, the tyre and wheels price was about $3500 and you could get them cheaper as a replica elsewhere.

I remember an Ebay store selling them, will try and find the store sometime today. I personally wouldn't like to buy wheels from an eBay store, but will try and find it for you. Maybe you can at least find a brand name to shop around with.

Yeh that's the guy I was thinking of. However the R-lines from him are 18's

We bought our GTI with the R-Line wheels. The dealer put the originals in the back for us. I made it quite clear that we wanted them.

Thanks, but Blutopless can take NO credit for this. This is my GTI and my choice of wheels. I think that they look hot, I am into big wheels (Im looking for a way to fit 20 inch wheels onto my new bug ) and I kinda thought that the 16's looked a little small ?

I think the point FLOODY was making -- but please correct me if I am wrong -- is that the stealership charges an arm and a leg for the OEM R-Lines. Certainly, when I looked at different OEM VW wheels when buying mine, I was quoted around $3,500....JUST for the wheels!

Oz-Racing also make a wheel very similar to the R-Line, which MACCAA has on his car (sometimes )

agree that they are exy... and i'm sure aftermarket lookalikes will be cheaper.
i asked what the price of a standard gti wheel was.. nearly died when they said $500+ a wheel.. no tyre.. chased up the tyre price and was told they dont even sell them in oz...
