Heard today that there's an APR update coming soon for Polo GTIs that eliminates a running rich situation above 5000 rpm. Might give an improved response in this range (It's already pretty good but I'll never say no to more!)
For some reason the APR flash hasn't worked with my model ECU. The ECU is trying to protect itself by adding more fuel and restricting the power. The new software will override this function(which is what normal happens with the flash) hopefully giving me the full 150kw. I'll be putting it straight onto the dyno to make sure it works.
If Guy knows the exact terms maybe he can explain?
Derek has been very informative during the whole matter.
Hey Boys, yes - we are trying to get a change made to one certain code - the other codes are fine. APR are snowed under at the moment, but we hope to have it shortly!
Hi Mitch - can't gaurantee it - the other file is working really well - and its a free upgrade when we get the changed one.
APR are snowed under with the world wide recall of all the software for the 2.0TFSi's and the modification of the code. As soon as that is all completed we will get up to date.
When your dealer did your flash, he should have put your details in the customer details section (including phone number) - from there we can contact anyone who needs it!
No word as of yet, we have three cars that get rich up top & a heap that don't so it may not be a software adjustment. Working on all the data with APR so will let everyone know once we have more news!~
