      Good stuff Mario
Just for the record, what has been described isn't a double declutch - because the clutch is only disengaged once.

I've always hit the clutch moments before actually backing off the accelerator (rather than the other way around), which results in a little bit of a 'blip' or 'overrun' while I change gears.

I've said it before though - the Polo clutch pedal has to be basically on the floor before it disengages fully. If you try to rush a shift before your foot is pinned to the firewall, you'll get a crunch.

PeterHBne: I Think the previous generation polo gti's had a different gearbox, i think their issues are unrelated. I reckon also that the cable shift doesn't help rushed gearchanges, the mechanism can't react quick enough. (edit: delayed response here.... oops)

Current model integra type s's can crunch from time to time 2nd to 3rd, and they have tripple cone synchros (e.g tough). So even the nicest gearboxes can have problems.
