            i got a stiffy today

Tommorow ill get some normal photos (you know when all the wheels are on the ground) to show you how the car sits with eibachs.

The springs (pro kit, eibach) themselves were about 570 bucks.
Ride is actually quite good incomparison to my last car which had king springs. they made my previous car crash bang and ride as hard as a rock.

The eibachs still have travel and retain alot of comfort. but you certainly pay for it when you see the bill.

Just having a bit of an issue currently. When i first lowered my car i was having this knocking noise which was later diagnosed as swaybar knock.

I had the new whiteline front swaybar fitted about a week ago and an alignment. It solved the problem.

But now around right hand bends im getting a fast pulsating noise comming from the front of the car (whoom whoom whoom <-- what it sounds like)
Even at low speeds when parking.

So even though the car looks great and cocks its leg up on driveways its making a funny noise and its giving me the poops.

Thanks for the link for the tray thing

I finally installed my eibach pro kit today and thought i would post up the results/experience for all to see.

To be honest, I think the ride quality is very similar to standard, a lil firmer, but with less pitching and rolling than from the stock springs. Quite happy with it so far, seems to go well with the whiteline rear swaybar. I haven't experienced any issues with the front swaybar knocking so i think Mitch_GTI's problem must have been an unrelated issue.

As far as the install went, the front struts really are a pain in the butt due to VW's complicated clamping design. The drivers side is worse again due to lack A-arm travel to get the strut out due to the longer driveshaft. I would only recommend a DIY if you have all the right tools, a rattle gun and some good safe spring compressors (i had to compress the drivers side spring while it was on the car) and a fair bit of patience.

The rear springs in comparison are dead easy, a 15min job with only 2 bolts to undo.

Pics: sorry about the quality, drop seems to be about 20mm front and 15mm rear, until things settle in.

nice - i need to do something similar too - with my 18" rims my car looks a bit SUV like - so the only way to get the looks right is to drop it a bit

Looks good, Mint. Where'd you get the Eibach from?

                    Cheers,

Thanks guys, after more driving today, i reckon these are the springs the car should have come with in the first place, they feel very well matched. I guess thats what u pay for with eibach. If you are after coilover like firmness however, these are not for you.

                      Part no. is E10-85-008-02-22

                        Nice polo MINT..

One thing that got me thinking is that the car doesn't look very lowered at all. But maybe it's just from the photos.

its not lowered much, only 15 to 20mm. I wasnt really after the loweredness anyhow. Heres a stock pic for comparison.
