You'll find 90km/h is actually the 100km/h marking. The speedo in Polo's is very dodgy.
I found mine was the opposite, whilst it said i was doing 110, i was actually doing about 100 on the GPS, which was further supported by those things on the highway that tell you how fast your going
You've got to reading for these Polo's. One is a reading that resets when either time or distance reaches a maximum, eg. 9999km. The other will automatically reset 2 hours after the ignition is turned off.
Speedo in the Polo has got to be one of its weakest points. Compared to that of my Accord Euro Luxury 5AT, which uses LARGE and EASILY read letters, the Polo is exactly the opposite. Absolutely hate it.
I resort to using the Roadangel KPH output most of the time, except when in tunnels where I have to squint to see if I'm doing just abut the right offset to get a real speed. Displaying ~117 when you're doing 105 is really not on. Is it at all an easy task to get this corrected? My tyres are @ 36 PSI.
Best speedo I ever had was that of the GSXR600k4/5. Can't fault large and easily read numbers.
