Ok just had my 1st drive in my car since Guy fitted new coilovers. As for specs best off leaving that one for Guy I know its 45mm lower at front 35mm lower at rear and i have to say omg how sweet it is round bends and smooth roads. Bit bumpy on the drive out to Goondiwindi for 4 hours but hey worth it for the 5 minutes i got to go round twisty stuff outside of warick car sits so flat now that its incredible. Would recommend to any1 as long as u dont mind a bit firmer of a ride. Btw b4 any1 gets in pics will be coming as soon as i find my stupid camera

    Nice work on the coilovers

I think it might have it the wrong way around. I'd guess it is 45mm at the rear and 35mm at the front. But correct me if I'm wrong.

These are prototype low cost coilovers - so far so good - fitting / finish very good, easy installation, easy adjustment, shorter sway bar links included for more lowering without swaybar rub - have to check more on the ride quality next week! (Made in Holland) .

Wouldn't happen to be these coilovers would it guy???? V-Maxx Coilovers

Looks like they retail for $499GBP so should be around the $1200 or so by my guestimations plus fitting...

I wouldn't take GBP prices into consideration. I enquired about Eibach pro street coil overs for the GTI and they would cost about $1300 plus import taxes and freight... so looking at minimum $2000.

I called Eibach Australia. They stated it would be a 6 week wait and around $4000.

Yep - V- Maxx - they approached us - so we would give them a shot (test first - import second) & it looks like they will fit that gap nicely - they will be sub $1500 retail at this stage, and will have replaceable dampers

I just got my car from derek, he installed the H&R cup kit along with the whiteline rear swaybar. Very impressed, only had a quick run home so far though, but damn it rides well.

What will be the main difference between a V-maxx set and an Eibach set? (other than cost of course)
