  • Brake pad wears warning

    Hi all,

If i change a set of aftermarket brake pads that doesnt come with the sensor, will i get the warning light on the dash?

    Thanks!

The sensor is not actually part of the pad. You sort of attach it back after you've put the new pads on.

EH???? The sensor is on the pad mate. If you buy aftermarket pads some come with sensor, Remsa for one do. Others that dont you need to drill a hole in the friction material and fit a new sensor. If you dont want the hassle of that bridge the contact

Pretty easy to connect a wire between the pos / neg terminals to create a circuit. Its just a relay style connection (open or closed)
